How Steadfast Encouragement Overcomes Doubt
Doubt has a way of creeping in when we least expect it. It whispers that our dreams are too big, that the work ahead is impossible, that we’re kidding ourselves. For anyone pursuing a vision that challenges the status quo, doubt is an unavoidable companion.
But what happens when doubt meets its match?
For me, that match has been Marci—my unwavering source of encouragement, the steady voice reminding me why this work matters.
In Interview #16: Doubt Meets Its Match – Marci, we dive into the power of encouragement, the role of Love in overcoming doubt, and the unexpected ways the universe reassures us when we need it most.
The Relentless Voice of Doubt
At many points along this journey, I’ve questioned everything. The doubts weren’t small—they were relentless:
- “This vision is just ‘pie in the sky.’”
- “You don’t have the credentials or the training.”
- “You don’t have the creative talent.”
- “No one will care about this.”
Doubt wasn’t just an occasional visitor—it was a constant storm. I worried about how the world would perceive this work, whether it would be accepted, and if I was fooling myself by believing in it.
But amid the noise of self-doubt, Marci’s voice remained steady.
The Power of Encouragement
Marci has been my bedrock of belief. When doubt told me to stop, she reminded me to keep going. When I hesitated, she reassured me that this work was important.
She didn’t just offer occasional words of support—she consistently lifted me up, reminding me of our mission, our purpose, and the impact of what we were building. I’ve told her many times:
This work wouldn’t be happening without her support.
Encouragement isn’t just nice to have—it’s fuel for the journey. Without it, doubt wins. With it, Love takes the lead.
A Perfectly Timed Sign
Encouragement doesn’t always come from the people closest to us—it also arrives in unexpected ways.
During one particularly difficult moment, when the weight of doubt felt overwhelming, something serendipitous happened.
A quote from Nelson Mandela appeared in my social media feed:
“It always seems impossible until it’s done.”
That moment changed everything. It was a simple reminder, but it hit exactly when I needed it. Suddenly, the impossible felt possible again.
These moments—whether they come from a friend, a mentor, or even a perfectly timed quote—are proof that when we listen, Love always finds a way to guide us forward.
Together, We Keep Going
Some journeys aren’t meant to be walked alone. Marci has been the unwavering encouragement that has made this work possible. Every time doubt tried to pull me under, she reminded me that we were on the right track.
Doubt is loud, but Love doesn’t need to shout. It whispers, it reassures, and it lifts us forward—when we choose to listen.
Who has been your steady source of encouragement?
💬 Tag them in the comments or send them a message today. Let them know how much their belief in you has meant.
Because sometimes, a simple reminder is all it takes to turn the impossible into reality.
